Chilliwack Cultural Centre

A Design Build new cultural centre incorporating a 530 seat Theatre, 150 seat Studio, Theatre/Recital Hall, Art Gallery, Craft & Art Rooms, Music Instruction Studios, Public Restrooms, Office and Operating Services with a gross building area of approximately 5,000 square metres. The structural system of tilt-up concrete load bearing shear walls was combined with a structural steel roof and floors. The second floor concrete thickness and steel members have been designed to reduce sound transmission and vibrations. At the time of construction, the tilt panels for the stage were the tallest in Canada and 5th tallest in North America.
